Dr. Rick Michael is a Shreveport native and graduate of Texas A&M and UT Health Science Center at Houston. He completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University, where he also served as Chief Resident. Since returning to Shreveport in 2002, he has practiced in a variety of settings and, in 2015, assumed leadership of SureAccess MD. Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Michael is active in organized medicine and community service. He and his wife, Kristi, have two daughters, and he enjoys family time, travel, running, and outdoor sports.

Dr. Paul Guidry is a Natchitoches native and graduate of LSU and LSU Health Shreveport. He completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Guidry practiced as a hospitalist with Willis Knighton-Bossier for seven years, including two as Medical Director, and has developed special interests in post-acute care and hospice medicine. He and his wife, Catherine, have two children, Thomas and Camille. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, running, traveling, and cheering on LSU football.

Lauren Scheffy, PA-C, is a Baton Rouge native with over 18 years of experience in hematology and oncology. She earned her undergrad degree from LSU and attended Physician Assistant school at LSU Health Sciences Center–Shreveport. Lauren is passionate about helping patients on their wellness journey and building personal connections. She lives in Shreveport with her husband, Cy, and their two children and enjoys going to LSU football games, fitness, cooking, and watching her son play football and daughter cheer.

Hannah Horton, PA-C, is a Lafayette native with clinical experience in integrative medicine and hormone replacement therapy. She holds degrees from LSU, Mississippi College, and Xavier University of Louisiana, and is certified by the NCCPA. Recently relocated to Bossier City with her husband, Conner, Hannah is excited to join Sure Access MD. In her free time, she enjoys boating, time with her nieces, and planning new adventures.
